Teaching-Related Activities
Provided math and reading tutoring to a fourth-grade student. I coordinated the instructional plan with the child’s teacher and the principal of the school.
Volunteer Playground Supervisor September 2006-January 2007 Willard Elementary School, Evanston Resolved disputes and helped the kindergarten students with morale and shoelace support. Encouraged safe, respectful play and assisted paid staff and social worker as needed.
Cub Scout Leader- September 2007-present Cubmaster, Pack 929, Evanston IL. Responsible for planning and executing events at the pack and den level, Including campouts, the annual Scouting-For-Food drive, and cookouts that typically get 100 attendees. I lead an outstanding group of children and parent volunteers. Our program is a significant part of the lives of over 50 families and a positive force in the Evanston community.
