Master System Architect–               1986-2005

Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Columbia, SC, and Chicago, IL

Designed, installed and maintained complex computer systems and networks of thousands of computers. My experience included extensive programming, trouble-shooting, and staff education and support. This was a mainframe and midrange computing environment but I did work with desktop clients also. I had substantial supervisory and project-planning experience.

 

Computer Programmer–                 1981-1986

Policy Management Systems, Columbia, SC               

I wrote accounting software and did systems analysis for this software vendor.

 

Writer/Account Executive–             1976-1981

Paulsen & Partners, Chicago, IL

Wrote and produced public relations and advertising material for industrial clients. I ghostwrote many articles that were published in national trade journals such as Aviation Week, Power, Coal Age and Nuclear Engineering International .
